Postpartum Overnights

You are not expected to know all about newborns and being a parent.  Your postpartum doula, a newborn care expert, is here to help!

When you bring your new little one home, you may feel thrilled, exhausted and overwhelmed all at the same time. Add a little sleep deprivation, and it’s easy to feel like you have never done this before.  Oh wait!  You haven’t done this before!  Whether it’s your first or your third, every baby is different. There can be so many variables, so many nuances, and they can change from day to day, hour to hour. Babies do not come with manuals. Why are parents expected to do it all on their own?

We offer overnight care from a trained expert who has spent thousands of hours helping babies get back to sleep! You tell her about your day while she sets up for the night. You and your partner are off to the land of nod by 10pm, you wake up at 6am, refreshed. Wait, What?! Yup, that is right! She did it all and she did it well, because she is not a brand new parent, running on empty trying to maintain. She is a professional baby whisperer. Your new best friend! Down the stairs, the sun is shining, the baby or babies smiling and you are ready for another day! Because with 8ish hours sleep, you can do ANYTHING!

Postpartum overnight support is available with our highly trained newborn expert team for $50 per hour. These are not your average doulas, We are a professional team with unparalleled training and experience in newborn care. Many of us are even Registered Nurses!

Serving Maine Families and beyond. Overnight, travel packages, and live-in packages available on a very limited basis.

Hire the best, then truly rest!

Hi there! I'm Nicole (she/her). I'm a postpartum doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, and parenting group facilitator. Motherhood rocked my world in a big way, pulling back the curtain on how crucial it is for parents to have support in those tender early weeks, months, and years. Sleeping and eating didn't come easily to any of my babies. Navigating these challenges introduced me to so many amazing resources--local care providers, websites, books and more. Through this journey I found my life's work in nurturing new parents.

As a mom to three young children I'm right there in the weeds with you! Parenting is tricky and there is no right way!

When I’m not supporting new parents or chasing my own three kids, you might find me reading a cozy mystery, at a yoga class, or, let’s be honest, taking a much-needed nap.

Postpartum Doula

MEGAN MCKENNA

From a young age I have always had a passion for helping others, feeling a particular calling to work with young children. This drove me to pursue a degree in Elementary Education and I have worked with children ever since. Although I love working with children I have always had an interest and passion for all things pregnancy, birth, and babies. Becoming a mother myself opened my eyes to birth work and the postpartum world and how much support families need and should have. I'm passionate about helping families through the transition into the most pivotal and life changing experience of becoming a parent. I want families to know they're not alone in their experience and there is always a gentle helping hand reaching out for you to grab when you need it. Babies are my niche and love sharing tips and tricks I've learned along the way through my work with countless infants.

When I'm not working, I spend my time with my husband, Matty, and our 5 year old son. Our favorite places to frequent are local trails for adventures and impromptu beach trips since we live only 10 minutes from the ocean. I'm a creative soul that loves working with my hands. I adore sewing, woodworking, baking, gardening, as well as keeping up with my 40+ houseplants I adoringly refer to as my green babies; you can find me jamming out to Fleetwood Mac while doing any of these.
